Um...Well I have no clue about health scripts.... wacko
How do I draw my oppents health?

it's easy. Make a variable in their create event and call it hp.
then when they get hurt set the hp down.

ok. Put in the create event a variable and call it hp and set it to the amount of hits they have.
then on the collision on whatever hurts them put hp -1 relative.
then in the step event put if hp is smaller than 1 (0) then put dead scripts

each of these events are in code form.
Quote (Create Event)
hp=10
Quote (Collision with whatever hurts him)
hp-=1
Quote (Step Event)
if hp<0 {instance_destroy()}

idk...I cant get it to change into a instance and then change back. dry

well if your making a fighting game you should use distance_to_object in step event and when the ai get's closer to the player just change it's sprite to your attack animation. simple. you might want to use hitboxes if your a begininer cuz it's easier in the collsions instead of checking your sprite_index which is what I used to do...
